There is very little in this world that comes to us for free. Salvation however, is free to all who would call on Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It came at a tremendous sacrifice by our Lord, as He died on that cross on Calvary, but that price has already been paid.
The Bible tells us several very important things...
...it tells us that all people are sinners...
Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of
God.”
...it also tells us that sin leads to death...
Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”...it goes on to say that God loves us and that He provided a way
of salvation for us;Romans 5:8 says, “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”...it also says that salvation is available to all who believe in Jesus;Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved.”...it helps us to understand that salvation comes through believing
in Jesus and confessing Him as Lord;Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised Him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto
salvation.”Again, very little in this world is truely free, but God gives us the
gift of eternal life, and through His Word shows us how simple it really
is. Every question can be answered in His Word, and every problem
